Snack maker Hostess unveils caffeinated doughnuts as marketplace for caffeine-spiked meals heats up

Since seemingly the daybreak of time, people have loved espresso with doughnuts.

Now, Hostess – maker of Twinkies, Ho Hos and Ding Dongs – is combining the 2 by creating caffeinated doughnuts.

The bakery big’s Enhance Jumbo Donettes, which the corporate plans to ship out this month, will are available in two flavors – chocolate mocha and caramel macchiato. Every single-serving doughnut accommodates 50 to 70 milligrams of caffeine, rather less than the 80 to 100 milligrams in an eight-ounce cup of espresso.
