Several restaurants in Chittenden County announced in recent days that they are closing temporarily, with many citing worker shortages as the reason behind the shutdowns.
As restaurants have tried to return to full operation coming out of the 18-month-old COVID-19 pandemic, many have found it hard to hire employees to maintain necessary staffing levels. Those that are closing temporarily addressed the factors contributing to their decisions in recent social-media posts.
