Sisters to open restaurant, cafe and ice cream shop in Redding, Ridgefield

A trifecta of new restaurants and shops co-owned by two sisters are coming to Redding and Ridgefield.

Heather and Jennifer Bellizzi, former event planners, had wanted to open a couple of businesses for years. But, when the pandemic ignited, their timelines united, leading them to launch openings for three new establishments this summer.

“[With] the schedule of post-pandemic, it became a triple threat,” Heather Bellizzi said. “We have all three hitting at once. That was not intentional. We just sort of followed the energy of the universe.”

The sister duo is opening two businesses on Main Street in Georgetown — the 3 Keys restaurant at 19 Main in place of the previous Washington Prime, as well as Crystals and Cones, an ice cream shop at 28 Main. Crystals and Cones will open on July 1 and they expect to start serving customers at 3 Keys about two weeks after.

“They’ve made a huge commitment to our Georgetown business district… so that’s very exciting to see,” Redding First Selectwoman Julia Pemberton said.

Their third venture, a coffee shop called Queen B Cafe at 417 Main St. in Ridgefield, is slated to open shortly after the first two. From french fries dressed up or down to gluten-free and vegan ice cream options and eco-friendly coffee, the Bellizzi women are hoping to contribute more to the community and be around for the long haul.

“Our mentality’s always been [to] come as you are. I don’t want anyone to come in and feel like I can’t eat here,” Heather Bellizzi said.

“I hope that they’re all old-school classics [one day],” she added.
